Snorkeling @ Kokomo Beach

As an avid snorkeling enthusiast, I went out for a little session yesterday and had so much fun I just had to share these pictures :)

1- Green sea turtle
2- Green sea turtle (the cutest! Not uncommon here.)
3- Mahogany snappers that were most likely hiding from a barracuda I spotted earlier
4- Blue tang are the prettiest
5- Saw some smaller and bigger parrotfish yesterday
6- Soooo many French grunt were out

The water was super clear. 🩵

Quick heads-up about the Curaçao DI Card

I’ve been hearing from quite a few travelers who were charged money to complete their Curaçao Digital Immigration (DI) Card.
Just a heads-up: the official DI Card itself is free. There are third-party websites that appear in Google results and sponsored ads offering to complete it for you for a fee, but you do not need to pay a third party to submit the card.
The official DI Card can be completed within 7 days before your departure and is mandatory for international visitors traveling to Curaçao.
Please make sure you’re using the official website and be careful with sponsored Google results.
👉 Official DI Card: https://dicardcuracao.com/dicard
Do your research before paying anyone for something that you can complete yourself for free!

TUI Blue Curaçao - current state

TUI Blue Curaçao update (July 2026) – current construction status

I read TUI Blue Curaçao was accepting bookings for summer 2026 (including July dates), so I wanted to share a very recent firsthand update.

I passed the resort by boat two days ago and it is not close to being finished yet.

What I could clearly see from the water:
- Two buildings look relatively far along and appear to be in the final stages.
- Most of the other buildings are still under active construction.
- Several structures do not appear to have windows installed yet.
- There were construction trucks, equipment, and workers all over the site.
- The area looked like an active construction zone rather than a completed resort preparing to receive guests.

I’m not saying it won’t open, and I obviously don’t know the official timeline, but based on what I saw in person this week, I would personally be cautious about assuming a fully completed resort experience for near-term July 2026 stays.
If anyone has an official update from TUI or a confirmed opening date from the resort itself, I’d be interested to hear it.
