I’ve been working really hard to help my plants establish themselves while leaving some original natives to support the pollinators.
This year frogfruit and rock rose are the stars of the garden! I planted them early spring and they are taking over 💕. The frogfruit I planted this spring is doing a lot better than the one I’ve had there 2 years lol, probably had a better start with all the rain.
It looks crowded but I love it!

I lived in Austin for 8 years before moving to San Antonio. I love this gardening community, and the San Antonio gardening group can feel a little quiet by comparison.
I’ve noticed that there’s quite a few people who post and participate here aren’t actually in Austin, but are from surrounding areas and other parts of Central Texas. Since the group has kind of evolved into more than just Austin gardening 😅, would it be possible to add location flairs for posts and users? I think it would help people connect with others in their area.
