New insurance broker in CA - captive or non captive long term?
Hey guys,
I’m about 4 months into the insurance industry in California working mainly in auto insurance as a broker/non-captive agent. Currently averaging around 70 policies a month and trying to learn more about the industry long term.
Wanted honest opinions from people with experience:
- Is captive or non-captive better long term?
- What companies are considered the best to work for?
- Best pay structures?
- How many policies are you guys averaging?
- What are you doing for leads besides friends/family/referrals?
Trying to understand where the real long-term opportunity is in this business. Appreciate any insight.
