I keep taking the CPAP mask off in my sleep
I do things in my sleep. I can have coherent conversations of which I have no memory the next morning. I used to set alarms which required math problems to turn off, and did them without waking up enough to form memories. I say this so you know that almost anything that I can do awake, I can also do asleep.
I keep taking my CPAP mask off in my sleep. If I had to guess, this correlates with nightmares I have where I can’t breathe. Presumably what’s happening is that the mask is shifting in such a way that I can’t breathe, and I take it off so that I can.
What do people here do to prevent this? Tape isn’t going to help; I’ll just tear it off.
When the mask stays on, I wake up feeling great, but this happens 1/10 nights. Please help. I’m desperate.
