Dasung Monitor Paperlike Client on Linux?

Hello fellow e-ink enthusiasts.

Anyone figure out a way to install the Dasung Paperlike software on Linux + create keybord shortcuts for the different modes and refresh button?

The Paperlike software supposedly allows you to use keyboard shortcuts to change refresh mode settings to your display instead of the physical buttons. I could download and install it on Mac and Windows (though with some issues such as if the software window is not open and active on the homescreen the shortcuts would not work) but have tried on Linux using Wine (a software that allows you to install and run Microsoft applications on Linux) to no avail. I could install the Paperlike and open the window but it wouldn't work. I wrote to Dasung but they don't seem to have any intention to make it work for Linux. Any sotware engineers or computer tech savy e-ink enthusiasts try to make it work or find a way to configure keyboard shortcuts for mode and refresh settings? I am mostly a keyboard-first user and the need to continuously press the physical buttons on the display kind of breaks that flow.
