Book Suggestions for someone early in the field

Hello, for context I have a B.S. in Biopsychology Cognition and Neuroscience, and this fall am beginning my Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology. I’m looking for great suggestions for books (that are highly regarded, or even scholarly texts), but are not specifically textbooks alone, and can be an enjoyable read.

For my current reading list, I am a chapter away from finishing Mind Fixers by Anne Harrington which I’ve absolutely loved. This summer I also read The Body Keeps the Score which I enjoyed a lot. My current docket right now has What Works for Whom, and Malignant Self Love, although I am not 100% sure on those if I get any better suggestions for the near future.

Thanks again everyone in advance!

Accepted by two programs— which is better for my goals?

Hello, I wanted to know if anybody with familarity in the field had insight into a debate I’m having with myself. I had applied for a batch of Masters programs in Clinical Psychology, as for context, I hope to make my way towards applying for a doctorate in the same field. I graduated from UMich Ann Arbor with a Bachelors of Science in BCN (biopsychology, cognition and neuroscience) and have been working at a outpatient mental health company in the meantime.

I was initially denied by my top choice, UMich Dearborn, and thus committed to my next highest option in Rochester Christian University. However, UMich dearborn got back to my two weekends ago informing me that one of their cohorts had dropped and asked for continued interest. I said yes as I figured it’d be good to keep my options open, and I was actually accepted late last week.

I have a few other factors to think about like how it’ll interact with my work and location, but at base, how much is the difference in competitiveness between these two kinds of programs for doctorate consideration? Rochester is a smaller Christian university and their program is an M.A. in Clinical Psychology. UM Dearborn’s program is an M.S. in Clinical Health Psychology. And they both lead to an LLP.

Any insights on what gap might be there, or if it is negligible compared to things like personal success/thesis work, would be appreciated. Thank you for your time either way everyone!

What color identities are Clark and Mary from the Backrooms movie?

What do you think are the color identities for Clark and Mary, the two main chatacters from the Backrooms movie? On first instinct I think Clark reads as Mardu and Mary as Azorius, but I’m interested in what people’s opinions are!
