Hey. So I've been in hell for the past 7 months. It started out as a little burning sensation. I thought it was just dry lips or wind burn as the seasons were changing. So I bought myself chapstick. It helped a little bit. The. Then a few days later I woke up with like blisters all over my lips. They hurt bad. A day later the lips swelled up. They swelled so much I couldn't even smile and I could barely eat. Ever since then its been an everyday fight. At first it was like a weekly ordeal. It lasted about 2 weeks then left. Thought I was in the clear then it showed up again. And each time it would show up with different symptoms. Soon i noticed that every once in a while they would react to certain meals. And I thought it was a lip allergy. But eventually it morphed into every single food I eat my lips turn bright red and the rash gets super prominent around. The first picture is what they look like after every meal. Then it calms down. Picture two and three is when it swelled for like 2 weeks straight. Went to the emergency room when it swelled. 4-7 is when they burned a lot. And 8 is definitely the grossest it looked. I've seen the derm about three times. Seen the family doctor about 3 times.

I've been prescribed

Hydrocortisone. A strong one. I used for about a week. I stopped because it got worse soon

Muciporin ointment. Helped a little. Eventually stopped.

Now I've been using tacrolimus everyday. It's keeping my lips at bay. It's not getting worse but it's not getting better. They still get red after every meal. But when I'm not eating there's like a constant red outline

They ran me on antibiotics like 6 different cycles in the past 7 months. So I'm sure my immune system is all messed up. I'm just so fed up. Can't even eat in public anymore or go out to dinner with friends. Sorry for the nasty photos. But this has been my life lately
