In the week of easter I had 2 operations to remove an anal abcess, then since the second operation homecare has been at my place twice a day to clean the holes. One hole that was close to my anus has closed. The other hole was going really well, 3cm left out of, like, 12? Then yesterday a woman from homecare said the cleaning catheter went in like 4.5 cm in that hole and this morning another woman came and pushed it in till 6cm. I feel so disheartened because for a week i was told we were nearly done and now I feel like I'm back at point 0. In a month I'll be going to Barcelona for 5 days and I can only hope that the hole is closed enough by then (I won't be swimming anyways). Right now it just feels like 4cm of progress and healing has been erased in the past 24 hours. Just needed to vent.
