What would you want to see from an auramancer type MC?

I've been in a bit of a theory crafty mood, and I keep coming back to stories like delve which dive pretty hard into the aura types. I was also trying to think if you could marry that to a dnd paladin type character. I'm interested to know if anyone has like, strong opinions on what kind of things an auramancer should or shouldn't be able to do.

All my love to Jeff Hayes in DCC book 8

Spoilers?

I just got to the part where Carl needs to sing. I cannot put into words how giddy I was with this segment. I am shoketh with delight. It was so absurd and I am awestruck.

Did they really buy the rights to this song just for this segment? I can't believe that'd be worth the money, but by his left tit am I happy they did. It elevates the experience 100 fold.

To those who've read Rune Bound Professor...

Spoilers for RBP Book 5 btw.

How is the Hell arc? As soon as it became clear that this was going to be a whole other arc, my interest started to wane a bit. Maybe it's just being thrust into a whole new situation with unfamiliar stakes right on the heel of a BBEG smackdown, but I just wanna know if it's gonna be worth pushing through. I've not gotten far, just far enough for them to have entered the city, but now there's a new POV character and... well just let me know if I should keep going. I've been really loving the story so far, but it's just somehow this kinda feels like whiplash even if I saw this plot thread coming a mile away.

When I pause audiobook, book keeps moving backward.

I don't know when this problem started, but I swear it's recent, like within the last month or so. I'm listening to a book on audible and I need to pause the story for a little bit to do a thing, but inexplicitly, the software boots me back like 5 or 10 minutes into the chapter, sometimes even going back to the previous chapter (though when this happens, it's usually only 3 or 4 seconds before it transitions back to the chapter I was already on).

This is sooooo frustrating! I don't always remember exactly where I was so why is it doing this! Is there a way to stop it from doing that?

So I'm reading book 2 and, spoiler alert, Noah is trying to get Moxie to copy a rank 3 rune to a new sheet of paper for him.

This, I think, is because he's afraid of destroying the scroll when he uses sunder on the rune.

The problem is, I don't understand why he can't just cut the rune out of the paper before he sunders it! Sure, sundering it might rip the scroll to shreds, so it make sense that he'd want to avoid that, but surely cutting the run out of the scroll is an option!

He's litterally already ripped this scroll in half, clearly damage to the actual scroll isn't a big problem, it's just the one rune he wants.

I'm just so fucking confused why he's going about this in such a roundabout and stupid way. Like is there a reason, or did the author just not think about this?

What I mean is that the MC gains special powers outside the system through some kind of effort.

Examples include stuff like Delve, Ar'kendrithyst, and Bunny Girl Evolution.

Bonus points if the point of subverting the system is that the system is a crutch and you need to work 'true magic' to actually play with the big bois.

Shout out to Victor of Tucson as it also kinda had this toward the end of it's run, but it was like 10 books in before it really it really starting playing a big roll, and I don't want this aspect to be that deep into the weeds.
