Hi all
Quick question for all you knowledgeable folk:
I have just removed the hardtop on my 2005 987S. Came off very easily, but the manual says to “close pivot locks on the vehicle with the plastic covers”. Does ‘close’ mean twist back, or just cover? ie has something been lost in the translation?
I don’t have any plastic covers/ tools with which to close the pivot locks. Nor do I have the cover plate detailed in yellow in the picture above, which i believe must be to prevent the top operation cords fouling on the seat belt pivot.
Any enlightenment as to what the covers they refer to actually are, or indeed info on best place to source these would be mightily appreciated!
Also, i seem to be losing a bit of coolant. The sealed area in the boot which contains the coolant filler cap has droplets of liquid in it and on the inner skin of the lid. I have read that the original oem filler cap (part# ends .01) leaks under pressure, and should be replaced with a newer part that ends .04. Any one had experience of this? And again, advice on the best place to source such a thing would be appreciated.
Happy Boxstering!
