Recently I have moved to a property with a 1.9 acre yard. We have a 3 year old border collie husky mix (per her DNA results) who is all energy and attitude. We hired a professional fencing company to put up a 5 foot fence around an acre of our property. The fence does a good job of keeping her on the property when I am outside watching her, but if I am not around and she sees something on the other side of the fence she wants, she finds a way. At first it was digging under the fence, which I fixed by burying metal garden fence along the boundary, but now she is going over the fence.
She is e-collar trained and I have had very good results with just a reminder beep or vibrate when she sees a squirrel or dog, so I am wanting to try to bolster my defenses with something along the lines of a GPS dog fence (or any other technology) that I can set the boundary up to coincide with my physical fence.
Has anyone here had any success in doing something like this and have a product they would recommend?
