I recently got waitlisted for the SMU Singapore Full-Time MBA program (August intake), and honestly I’m feeling pretty frustrated and anxious right now. I had a positive interview experience and was really hopeful about the outcome, so I’m trying to understand what the waitlist situation usually looks like.

Would really appreciate hearing from:
- Current students who were previously waitlisted
- Applicants from past years who eventually converted
- Anyone from this year’s intake who’s also on the waitlist

A few things I’m trying to figure out:
- How much movement usually happens on the waitlist?
- Is there anything proactive I should do now?
- Did sending updates/LOCI/helpful follow-ups make any difference?
- Roughly how long did it take before you heard back again?

Right now I’m just trying to build a realistic plan of action instead of overthinking every day 😅

How structured vs conversational the interview is

Whether it leans more toward behavioral questions or goals/fit

How much weight the interview carries in the final decision
