Last September I went on one last dig at Hogg Mine in GA before I moved to The Netherlands, and within 10 minutes of getting there I found a 125ct aquamarine. It was my best find ever. Now I've gotten settled in, met a beautiful woman, and faceted this stone to propose with (yes it's fast but we're old and sure of ourselves and what we want). I'll take better pics later but wanted to share with someone now. The first pic is inside and second is in the sun. Im happy with how it turned out! It has a good bit of rain inclusions and a couple of other small inclusions, so I had to overcut a couple of crown facets when a tube would surface. Overall though I think it's alright! Design is Arya Akhavan's Crystal Hexagon (Portuguese Version), optimized in GCS for beryl. 133 facets (according to GCS it's 151? Idk. I used the tool to manually choose the light pattern I liked but didn't think that would add facets. Either way it's the most complex cut I've done).
