Possible bat exposure, doctor advised against vaccine

I have read the FAQ.

So about a week ago, at dusk I was walking outside and something suddenly hit me on the upper lip. It flew away immediately so I couldn't get the best look at it. Could have been a big bug or small bat.

Then I researched online and found this community among other info. After everything I'd read on here, I thought I should get the shots.

So I go to the ER but the doctor there, after I demonstrated where it hit me and described the situation, advised me not to get it. There's a guideline for degrees of exposure in my country and according to that, if it even was a bat, it would still have been the least severe kind of exposure since I wasn't bitten, scratched or had direct mucous membrane contact (he said it would have had to touch the inside of my mouth for that).

I didn't end up getting them. However there's still some residual anxiety about this whole situation. Do you think that's mostly psychological? I do have anxiety anyway.
