Hi, my 14 yo Tumi bag is getting close to the end, and I'm now looking into B&R for a carry-on. B&R is having a sale through Costco Next and options are below. Two questions: First, are these comparable to standard Briggs & Riley suitcases (and recommended by y'all expert travelers)? Second, I'd normally get the "global" but it does not appear to be expandable which is a dealbreaker for me. The expandable below is listed as "domestic" and I am a little concerned that I would not be able to carry them on to, say Lufthansa. But the difference is only 1" and that seems to include the wheel and handle. In your practical experience, would I be able to take a domestic carry on like the blue one in the pic below most International carriers (aside from the flights with tiny overhead bins)?
