Epiduo to tret
I’ve been using Epiduo for about 4.5 months. Epiduo caused me a terrible purge that I couldn’t get under control, so two weeks ago I started minocycline 50 mg twice a day. The antibiotic treatment is planned for 3 months.
Right now my skin has calmed down, and I’m mostly left with a lot of post-acne marks. I’m interested in switching to tretinoin 0.025% for anti-aging purposes and for overall improvement in my skin’s appearance (27F)
Also, i know it can take some time but when the skin will get adjusted i plan add azalic acid.
I want to take advantage of the fact that I’m on antibiotics so I’ll have a “safety net” against purging again.
When I have two months of antibiotic treatment left, should I start tretinoin? Is it enough time for a “safety net”?
I’d love to hear from people who switched from Epiduo to tretinoin- did you experienced a terrible purge?
Im planning to start using tretinoin veryyy gradually with the sandwich method.
