This is what happened: On April 15, 2026 my 79 year old uncle had a Medtronic 24960 inserted. The surgeon punctured his heart with a lead. My uncle awoke from the pain.

Apparently, the sac around his heart was acutely traumatized with the sudden influx of blood. i took him home the next afternoon to my place.

Three days later I take to ER against his wishes. His pacemaker is set too low. it’s adjusted to the correct level.

My uncle‘s electrical issues are resolved but I would like to know what questions I should ask and what cardiac programs are available for his new condition (Pericarditis).

He’s on high prescription doses of Ibuprofen and Colchicine for inflammation. Thanks in advance.
