My oldest daughter has been begging me for a tank of her own to house "cute snails" because she's enamoured with the bladder snails and ramshorns that have populated some of my low tech tanks, so I got her a 3gal cylinder thank of her own that comes with a hood with a light and a custom filter.. looks like an under gravel style cartridge filter.

Now I'm stuck without any honest ideas of how to set it up at all. The kid loves all my heavily overgrown tanks, but she doesn't have the patience or ability to care for and maintain a low tech setup on her own which is why I opted for a kit style.. but now ive no idea how to scape it so she can see and watch all the snails she loves so much but also have it planted heavily with maybe slow growing plants I won't have to trim back and maintain for her because I want to be hands pff as much as I can be, to allow her to enjoy and maybe learn a bit more on how to care for her very own aquarium.

Any ideas or inspiration would be appreciated.. anyone else make just a planted "snail" tank that was low maintenance and self balancing?
