Hello, as the title says I have a workplace from last year that won't send me my W-2. I only had two W-2's from last year and the second one I only worked at shortly because I moved states.
When I realized I couldn't access the web portal to get the W-2 back in March I called them and asked to speak to a manager about getting it emailed to me. Whoever I spoke to claimed to be a manager and told me they couldn't email my W-2 they could only mail it and that that had already done. I gave them my updated address and they told me they would "give that to the manager and see what she does with it". So they were lying about being the manager, great.
By tax cutoff they still had not mailed it. I had to do my taxes with only one W-2 with the plan to make an amendment.
I have called them 3 more times about this, two times they claimed the manager wasn't there and the last time I demanded the numbers for HR or corporate and they refused saying because I was not longer an active employee I wasn't allowed either of those numbers and they could only give me the "managers number" (it was the number for the front desk, the number I called to even get in contact with the building).
It's a franchise location so I can't call the regular company HR (I tried and they told me they couldn't help) and I can't find any information for the franchise company online. What do I do? I can't get any real person on the phone when I try to call the IRS helpline and I can't just NOT do my taxes the right way.
