3rd party verification messed up on my references - scared to lose job offer
I had an amazing interview, got the offer, went through drug screen background check and everything was cleared but for some reason the references portion was flagged and on my report it said for 2/3 of my references “reference closed as reference provided is employee of BLANK company” (blank) being the company Im applying to work for. I know 100% they are not employees of this company and this was miscommunication because there is a potential language barrier. I don’t know what to do I messaged HR and no response but I already started onboarding. Would they rescind my offer for this? This was a misunderstanding and I can provide other references. I spoke with my references and they said they never asked them that so I am very confused. I am so anxious I can’t lose this job. Anyone go through a similar experience?
