So in conclusion, GL in Thai is not doing great. Also some companies need to quickly start to have plans to build a strong Thai fanbase.
Edit: my main concern is not about GL is falling or sth but how companies keep neglecting their own market that is Thailand and just focusing too much on Chinese market and that's not good in long term.

Based on combined information from various sources, the new regulations may involve the following factors:
Industry violations: Some Thai artists allegedly entered China on tourist visas to participate in commercial activities, raising suspicions of tax evasion and triggering regulatory investigations;
Sensitive political controversies: Some Thai celebrities were allegedly involved in political controversies (such as publicly liking sensitive content or comments related to Taiwan independence), increasing regulatory risks;
Increase in fan complaints: Cities such as Fuzhou and Qingdao reportedly received public complaints due to large-scale Thai entertainment events, causing stricter public opinion control.
Continuation of cultural restrictions: The measures are viewed by some as an extension of China’s long-term tighter supervision over foreign entertainment industries following the “Korean Wave restriction” era.
🚨🚨🚨 Key point: mostly because of tax evasion. And considering how many Chinese artists lost their careers because of " forget to pay their tax" . The restriction for Thai artists is kinda reasonable, so yeah many companies will loss a lot profit from this market especially BL/GL
