Is this just my station or is it like this elsewhere? I’m a CCA that started last fall. Every Sunday I show up 5-10 mins early and the majority of carriers already have their truck half or mostly loaded. They all wait to scan in at schedule time but they all work off the clock for a good while. At least a handful always seem to be there 45 mins or an hour early working off the clock. What’s more is the routes are handed out on first come first serve basis. I didn’t really care at first but it’s starting to rub me the wrong way now that I’m settling in. I’m guessing its not just my station. Am I being green about this? It seems ridiculous to me to work off the clock. It’s gotta add up over time to be a considerable chunk of change that you gave up just to be home a little early.
