Harvest intern - tips

Hi everyone,

I am looking to be a harvest intern in Sept 2027 for around 3 weeks. Do you know which countries allow for temporary work visas/ which winemaking regions are easier to apply for? Any general tips as well? Thanks in advance!

First time trying a bottle from Saint-Aubin, nestled between Chassange-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet (in fact more famous for their whites).

0m:

Purple to ruby colour, med intensity, some wine legs. Nose : Sour red cherry, raspberry, tart fruit, med intensity. Mouth: lots of cherry, red fruit, med to high intensity, more underripe, short to med finish, slightly bitter ending

30m:

Slightly closing off, nosing less apparent, finish shorter

60m:

Colour darkened, rim less apparent, more ruby, still acidic but less finish, still 0-30m better. Overall first 30 min well, afterwards fell apart as too sour and lost fruit.

Was interested in new world pinot noirs, and this NZ pinot noir from the Waipara Valley is a good example.

0 min:

Ruby coloured, Medium bodied, medium viscosity. On nose, complex, strawberries, cherries, toasted spices, cedar. On palette medium finish, cherry, pomegranate, forest floor. Floral notes as well, spices, violet.

30 min: (capped and placed back in fridge)

Becoming less fruit forward, still intense pinot noir. Pepper and clove reminiscent, rasperry, cherry notes intact. A riper, fuller expression of Pinot Noir but definitely not one that is jammy (which I dislike). Well integrated oak and smooth wine. Pleasantly surprised by the quality given its price (~40 USD)!
