Bridgerton love tropes

As we all know, bridgerton wouldn’t be bridgerton without their dramatic love stories and when watching season 4, obviously you can tell they took inspiration from cinderella. That had me thinking of other fairytales/relationships they could take inspiration from and I would LOVE a prince harry and meghan inspired season. I find it admirable that harry saw everyone’s mistreatment towards Meghan and got her out of there, leaving everything he ever knew behind. It is beautiful and would make a cute love story/season. It’s like a mix of forbidden love and star crossed lovers. I hate that the only taste of royalty we have gotten is a failed relationship between daphne and the prince. They should’ve utilized the queen’s family more. Sucks that the show is going off of the books and they were made in the early 2000’s. I guess you could argue that kate and anthony had similarities in their season.

Daphne’s Character Assassination

This may be an overused take but idc i’ll say it again and again if I have to. They are doing a major disservice to Daphne by not having her in the show. I feel extremely bad for the actor of Simon and understand why he would never return to a show where he faced extreme racism. I find it touching that they are insistent on not recasting him as he’s forever our Simon but like helllooooo where’s Daphne??? I’m sure Daphne can be without her husband if it means being there for her family. I don’t understand why they won’t bring her back. She would never miss her siblings weddings let alone her sister’s husband’s funeral! Disappointing to see what they are doing to her, especially as the actress has voiced her desire to come back and play Daphne.
