Do you follow a detailed week-by-week plan (every workout spec'd), a high-level one (phases + principles, flexible session choice), or no plan at all — just free-styling it?

Asking because I'm working on a coaching side project and trying to figure out the right level of plan detail most runners would prefer to have.
