Post-Op Must l-Haves, based on my personal experience
Ladies PLEASE do yourself a favor and get on enzymes ASAP, so important for post surgery. My last was in 2017. I took Serrapeptase and Nannokitanase for almost 3 years after. It eats scar tissue, literally. I also added DIM and Calcium Glucerinate, the DIM takes away the bad estrogen and the Calcium Glucerate (can use D-Limonene instead) to be sure it keeps the good estrogen when processing through your liver. So I stopped dim about a year ago because my doctor thought the calcium glucerate might've been giving me kidney stones. I didn't know about using D-Limonene instead. Anyway I got super sick a few months later, never realizing the connection. It took almost a year to find out my Endo was back with a vengeance. Stage 4, obliterated Pouch of Douglas, and it's on my diaphragm (thoracic), and also lining my heart, lungs, liver, pancreas and appendix. Oh and a 6cm strip on my sigmoid colon and possibly (probably 😫) on more bowel. After SO much research I realized stopping the DIM caused this all. I'm terrified and waiting on surgery. Many days I feel like I'm actually going to die, and am lucky to get 3-5 ok days a month. I know had I stayed on it that I wouldn't be writing this. Please do this for yourselves. DM me with ANYTHING. You've got this, and don't worry the Endo belly WILL go down. I was in great shape about a 6 months to a year after, so might have to be a bit patient. You don't want to get to this point, trust me. In and out of the ER who has no idea what to do with me other than IV pain meds. During one of the flares during my period when I went in (didn't know it was thoracic yet) I couldn't breathe it felt like. They noted "extreme shortness of breath" and did a CT scan only to find my lungs were clear. They thought I had pneumonia or bronchitis before the scan, but did give me steroids and antibiotics despite not seeing anything. Please stay on top of this. Also buy the best quality Turmeric curcumin and black pepper extract supplement you can find, bonus if it has ginger and make sure it's organic. If you want suggestions, I've got you. What I wouldn't do to go back and have researched what else could make DIM work. Oh and I'm back on it. Don't think it'll do much at this point, but it sure helps mentally to deal with it all. I'm also intuitively (aka when I feel the need, a few times a week usually) taking Serrapeptase and Endovan, switching off between the two. I will likely switch to regular Nannokitanase instead of Endovan when I'm out because of the cost difference. This all broke me spiritually and financially. I do feel much better having the diagnosis though, as you start feeling like it's in your head when the hospitals run nearly every test and find nothing they think is connected. Sending healing light, hugs and love to all suffering from this unthinkable disease.
