I have deleted the app, reinstalled the app multiple times. ON TWO PHONES. I have hard reset my string about 100 times now. My Bluetooth and Local Network are on for the app. My Twinkly WiFi shows up as an option.

Yet, never once has my app recognized or found my Twinkly string. As far as the app is concerned, I do not own any Twinkly products.

These lights were roughly 80 dollars (including shipping) for one string and they appear to be total pieces of shit. I just wanted a string of lights for my little fake bush that I could use throughout the year for holidays.

Does anyone have any insight or another suggestion for a similar product that actually works?

My husband and I are divorced and ownership of the house went to me. However, legally, I had to give him 50% of the equity in the house (6 figures, substantial amount of money) when the house was sold.

How do we recognize this tax-wise? I got zero benefit from his share (he received the check directly from the title company), and it doesn't seem fair that I should have to pay taxes on funds that were not realized.
