Thinking about getting a Steam Machine - A few questions for the experts
Hi everyone! I’m considering getting a Steam Machine but I have a few practical questions before I decide if it's the right fir for me:
Payment: How does the payment process work on Steam? Do I need to have the full amount as Steam Balance in my wallet, or can I pay directly with a credit/debit card at checkout?
Upgradability: Will these units be upgradable? Can I swap out the RAM , processor, graphics card or the storage later on if I need to?
Desktop Use: Can I use the Steam Machine as a regular PC while SteamOS is installed? For example, can I browse the web, use a word processor, or install other non-gaming programs? Or do I need to install an other OS on the machine to use other?
I have not bought hardware on Steam before.
