Gurnick interview July 2026 Cohort

I did my interview with Gurnick last week for the July 2026 MRI Program. Here is the break down!

Gurnick MRI Interview Questions (20 mins)

Quick Background

This was my third attempt applying to the Gurnick MRI program for the San Jose/Bay Area location. I completed my General Education, Anatomy, and Physiology courses more than seven years ago, so only my GE classes were eligible for points. However, I do have 10 years of medical experience.

For my first two attempts, I did not opt in to have my classes reviewed for points. On my third attempt, I chose to have them reviewed, and I believe that helped me move forward and secure an interview.

There were three people on the interview panel, and these were the questions they asked:

-Can you give an example from your field where something went wrong? What did you do to resolve it?

-What made you choose the Gurnick MRI program?

-What does MRI stand for?

-How do you plan to be successful in the MRI program?

-What does your support system look like? Will you continue working while in the program?

-Would you be willing to travel up to 100 miles from your current location to complete your clinicals?

-What do you think will be your biggest challenge while in the program?

-Since this is your third attempt applying to the MRI program, what changes did you make that helped you finally get the interview?

From my experience, Gurnick really wants to understand how well you can balance school and personal responsibilities, how you approach problem solving, and what specific steps you plan to take to successfully complete the MRI program while managing your everyday life.

They said they will let me know about my interview decision by end of May (2026). Good luck to everyone who signed up and future students. I'll keep you guys posted.
