TW: "GLP-1 Chic" era makes the "Heroin Chic" era look 'healthy' by comparison. I have a few theories as to why this is now happening in Hollywood.

I saw the met gala photos and I am horrified. This is worse than the heroin chic era of the 90's and early 2000's.

I truly believe they're forcing this beauty standard.

When you are malnourished, you are more compliant, distracted and do not have the strength to fight back.

I also believe they're trying to normalize this due to cost of living pressures, they're trying to ease us into seeing malnourished bodies everywhere (aka famine). It's subliminal messaging in real time and they are the muse.

Famine is also a sign an empire is collapsing. We can see that throughout history and they are trying to normalize it.

What do you think about this?

Hey everyone. As the title states, I'm curious about this due to my boyfriend, myself and now my family having our own personal experiences with this.

Just a heads up, this is going to be long.

For context: My boyfriend used to live with one of his friends who tried to conjure something to impress a girl he was seeing years ago but he never closed "the gate" (I know, very silly of him to do that. I told him off for it too.)

Experience #1: Whenever my boyfriend and I were watching TV we would see something from the corner of our eyes peek out at us from his friends office. Whenever we both tried to look at it head on, it completely disappeared. It looked like a tall (6 foot) shadow figure that would just peek out at us then disappear.

This happened for a few months but nothing ever came of it so we just dubbed it a "look-de-loo", curious.

Experience #2: My boyfriend moved in with me and my parents due to chronic pain and illness plus the cost of living. Everything was fine until my family's (now passed) senior dog started growling and barking at where the clothesline is outside when we were looking after him one night.

My bf and I felt uneasy due to senior dog never barking unless he absolutely thought there was danger or he was playing. Never barked or growled at people, dogs or cats going by. We connected the dots and thought "did it follow us?"

Experience #3 This was when my dad was sitting on the couch watching TV and having lunch. He saw something out of the corner of his eye but didn't pay too much attention to it. After a while it was still there so he looked. It was the solid heavy wood chair at the dining table that had a 12 pack of water bottles on, it was up on it's hind legs and tilting backwards towards the window with no explanation. When he realized what he was seeing, it fell backwards hard and fast which broke a couple of plant pots my mum had on the windowsill.

My bf and I heard the crash and came running out of my bedroom to see my dad stood up from the couch, pale as a sheet of paper and his eyes wide. We asked what happened and if he was ok then he pointed to the chair, the broken pot plants and told us everything. My bf and I instantly looked at each other and said "look-de-loo!".

Experience #4 My brother and his wife were staying over for the weekend (last year I believe?). They aren't spiritual people and my brother is very scientific and logical. The last night they were here my brother had a sleep paralysis episode (he's never had sleep paralysis before and hasn't experienced this since).

He saw a 6 foot shadowy figure at the door and appeared to be a man dressed in Victorian attire. All he could do was stare and blink. By the 4th blink, it was gone and when we all woke up in the morning, he came running upto me and explained what he saw. He begged me to cleanse him and his wife before they went home. (I am a practicing witch so I was more than happy to do so). I have never seen him so freaked out before and he truly believed it was spiritual in origin.

Experience #5 Earlier this year, my boyfriend also had a sleep paralysis like experience except he could move and speak. In his sleep he felt like someone was staring at him so he woke up. He saw a 6 foot shadow figure at the end of our bed, he screamed and woke me up. I didn't see anything as I was fast asleep until he screamed.

Experience #6 This has been happening the last 3 nights now. We have a new puppy. He's about 6 months old now, great temperament, quiet and super playful. Exactly like our old senior dog. He never barks unless there's danger or sometimes when he's playing.

The last 3 nights when we've taken him out to go to the toilet. The hairs on the back of his neck stand up and he starts growling and barking in the exact same spot our senior dog did. Facing towards the clothesline.

Tonight, I turned on my phone torch to see if there was something there, nothing. After a while he calmed down and came running up to me and we went back inside.

These experiences are years and months apart. It's not one experience after another.

What do you think this could be?
