Hi all, I am the defendant in a criminal matter that is most likely headed to trial. There is still a chance at a plea agreement, but there has been some back and forth and no luck finding a ton of common ground so far between the prosecutor & complaining witness and me & my attorneys
My lawyer will obviously prep me for trial but it’s on my mind a lot, am very curious, and don’t want to bother my lawyer with a bunch of random questions at this point.
Any podcast for book recommendations for trial prep that it may be a good idea for me to go to educate myself more about all of this? I’m really curious about the whole process, how testifying works, what the rhythm of court is like, etc. I want to feel informed enough to offer useful insights as my defense is crafted and not be a hindrance.
Thanks in advance!
Hi! Transfer student starting in the fall. I will be a commuter, so I see that I will have access to the Broadview Fitness Center. I will be commuting, and am happy to be able to have a gym to use on days I’m on campus.
Does that gym have showers? I live 30 mins away, so am hoping the answer is yes since ideally I’d workout before or between classes.
I got a sore throat (viral, not strep) earlier this week. It really hurt and I was sick of the pain. I took a clean toothbrush, and scrubbed the back of my throat and my tonsils. Then I turned my waterpik on full blast and pressure washed back there too. It hurt like hell, but afterwards I felt better. Once my throat calmed down from the abrasion, there was no more thick mucus or illness related throat pain. I swear it would have taken way longer to heal had I not done that.
Is there science to back up this method?
Hello!
I just officially declined a plea deal for a misdemeanor stalking charge, and will face trial. My lawyer is excellent and gave me a rundown of how trial works over the phone, but I want to immerse myself more and get a more thorough understanding of what is going on, without bothering her with a ton of questions (or paying her hourly rate for it).
Does anyone have a “trial for dummies” type of book or something they’d recommend to educate myself on what’s to come for me?
