Ownership history is now live in the OFFO Full Report — previous owners, title status, accident records, all tied to the listing you're already analyzing

Quick update: ownership history is now part of the OFFO Full Report ($9.99 at offolab.com/receipt).

What it pulls per VIN:

  • Number of previous owners
  • Title status (clean, salvage, rebuilt, lemon law)
  • Accident and damage records
  • Open lien check
  • Title brand history (odometer rollback flag, flood, etc.)

It's bundled with the existing full report, so you get the AI deal verdict, market price context, routine fit score, battery assessment, negotiation deep dive, AND the ownership history in one place.

The $3.99 Starter covers the verdict color, summary, and photo angle analysis if you're not ready for the full report yet. You can upgrade from there without re-entering anything.

If you've been using the free receipt check and were waiting on history data — it's there now.

As the lease wave continues, we have analyzed 200+ used EV listings this month

We run OFFOLab, an EV receipt tool to help EV buyers make better decisions. Here's what the data showed across listings we processed in June:

  • 34% had price-to-market mismatches of $2k+ (both directions)
  • Listings with "battery report available" in the description scored 28 points higher on average
  • Salvage/rebuilt title was the #1 hidden flag — often not in the listing title
  • Bolt EUV and Model 3 SR had the most consistent GREEN verdicts at current prices

Tool Update: Next week, OFFO would be updating to include complete VIN check (Title, salvage, accident, theft etc) so EV buyers can now get their full VIN history usually given by Carfax which is not designed or specific to EV's. OFFO's full VIN check would be specific to EV's and include other useful tools at only a fraction of the price to unlock all features.

Please drop a comment or feedback if you find this information or the tool useful on the site.

Quick update — site is back up

OFFO was down for a couple of hours earlier today. We caught it quickly and it's fully restored now.

No data was affected. If you tried to run an analysis during that window, just resubmit and it'll go through.

Sorry for the interruption, we're on it whenever something like this comes up.

Site is back up — and here's what's coming next

Hey r/EVRoutine,

Quick update: OFFO (offolab.com) had a database outage over the past couple of days. Everything is restored and running normally now. If you tried to generate a receipt or sign in during that window, it should work fine again.

Sorry for the disruption — running lean as a solo founder means infrastructure surprises hit harder than they should.

A few things coming in the next few weeks:

  • Full receipt upgrades back online — when a listing comes back as a quick result, it now automatically upgrades to a full analysis in the background
  • Recall monitoring — persistent alerts if a new recall is issued on a vehicle you've checked
  • Deal Watch improvements — better notifications when a listing matching your routine profile hits the market

If you ran a listing during the outage and got an error, you can rerun now with no errors.

Future Updates and what's Upcoming in the next couple of months

  • Dealer-side tool — flip the receipt for dealers: "how should I price and market this used EV?" Same engine, seller perspective, SaaS pricing
  • Seller advisory — private sellers preparing to list get a pre-listing battery report, suggested asking price, and buyer objection preview
  • Collating used EV's with verified SOH around the US to give our users the best deals possible.
  • TCO / charging calculator widget — licensable embed for dealerships, EV advocacy sites, and media publishers

Thanks for sticking around.

We were asked: “Do you check per‑module CAC and VSH problems in Teslas?” We don’t – yet. Would you actually pay for that?

A user commented on our last post with this:

Great question. And I want to answer it openly, then ask all of you for honest feedback.

First, what OFFO does today (free):
We analyze any used EV listing from public data (VIN, mileage, age, recalls, market comparable). You get a GREEN/YELLOW/RED verdict, a battery degradation estimate (model‑based), remaining warranty, and a charging fit score. No OBD2, no hardware – just a fast first filter.

What we don’t do (yet):
Per‑module CAC (Calculated Average Capacity) or VSH (Voltage Sense Harness) checks. Those require direct access to the car’s BMS – either a hardware dongle or a mobile app + OBD2 adapter. It’s a different level of diagnostic detail.

So here’s the question to you, the community:

If OFFO offered a premium report that included:

  • Per‑module CAC values (health of each module)
  • VSH integrity check (early warning of harness faults)
  • Deep BMS health summary

And you could get it by plugging a cheap OBD2 dongle into the car (or using a mobile app) – would you actually pay for it?

  • Yes, I’d pay $___ for a one‑time report
  • Yes, I’d pay $___/month if I could scan multiple cars
  • No, I wouldn’t pay – the free version is enough
  • Maybe – depends on the price / accuracy / ease of use

Also: What tool do you currently use for this kind of deep battery data? (e.g., Scan My Tesla, Recurrent’s dongle, TeslaFi, etc.)

P.S. – If you’re the user who asked the original question, I’d especially love to hear your take.
