I had a vasectomy in 2022. But recently, I developed a granuloma at the incision scar of my previous vasectomy, which I’m told can happen. so a few weeks ago, I saw a urologist who surgically cut out the granuloma and redid the vasectomy on the left side. The surgery went fine and I resumed normal activities about a week later because I was feeling fine. I went for a short run which was very bad idea in hindsight and then over the next 3 to 4 days I started developing a very large hematoma about the size of an avocado. The hematoma began to drain itself from the incision site. So I had to wear gauze in my underwear until I could see the urologist which was today. The urologist felt that he needed to drain the hematoma in the office so he began squeezing my scrotum as the blood drained out of the incision, it was incredibly painful. So lesson learned. Listen to your doctor and rest.
