I’ve been working on an iOS app called WeFrames that builds on top of Apple Shared Albums.

Instead of browsing the whole album, it shows one photo per day. The same photo for every member in the album who uses the app, with reactions and comments in one place. Previous days are saved in a history view, but only the current photo is open for interaction.

The idea was to make shared albums feel a bit more alive without turning them into a feed.

It works directly with iCloud Shared Albums, so there’s no need to create an account or upload photos anywhere.

The app is free to use for viewing the daily photo in the app or widget. There’s a subscription to unlock reactions, comments, notifications, and full widget support (1.99/month or 12.99/year), with Family Sharing and a one-week free trial.

Curious what people think about the “one photo a day” idea.
