Turkish SLP (DKT) looking to work abroad: Process and work-life balance?

Hi everyone!

I’m a Speech and Language Therapist graduated and currently practicing in Turkey. I’ve been researching ways to take my career international and would love to hear from this community.

I have two main questions:

  1. The Process: For those who moved to a different country to practice, how does the equivalency or certification process work for someone with an international degree? (Specifically for the US, UK, or EU).
  2. Work Standards: What are the working conditions like in your country? I’m curious about things like average caseload (how many patients a day), administrative workload, and the general balance between work and life.

If there are any international SLPs here who made a similar move, I would appreciate any tips or resources you could share. Thanks in advance for your help!
