I’m a high school student deciding between tech AI and bioinformatics.
My goal is:
- To get a job soon after a bachelor’s (preferably abroad)
- Work in a field that combines healthcare + AI
- Avoid oversaturated career paths
I’m considering bioinformatics, but I have a few concerns:
Is it possible to get a job right after a bachelor’s, or is a master’s almost required?
How does the starting salary compare to tech roles?
Is the field growing, or is it limited to research/academia?
What skills should I focus on during college to be employable?
Would you recommend this path, or should I go into data science and specialize in healthcare later?
Honest answers appreciated.
