(23M) Is 4 months (19 weeks) enough time to move up from a 70.3 to a full IM?
Hi everyone!
I (somewhat) recently finished the Oceanside 70.3 race in 7:04.
Swim: 57:33 (I know this was bad--I made the mistake of not practicing in open water prior to race day, so I think I'll feel much more confident next time)
Bike: 3:35:59
Run: 2:17:28 (rip did not do enough brick sessions as my legs both cramped toward the start of the run)
I've kept up my running since the race but haven't done too much biking and swimming.
Will 19 weeks of training be enough to get me ready for IM Chattanooga this September? Or am I biting off more than I can chew?
I'm an incoming dental student and realistically there won't be another opportunity to complete a full IM until after I complete residency when I'm like 30+ y/o and feel like it's unlikely I'd want to train for a full IM with a wife and kids potentially.. so it kind of feels like it's now or never haha
Any thoughts would be super helpful!
