Hill starting when clutch at bite point will not hold the car
I have a 2006 Acura TL and I normally start on a hill by letting the clutch to the bite point and then getting on the gas with little to no rollback. However I was practicing on my neighbor's driveway recently and my vehicle will not hold just by letting the clutch to the bite point. I have tested this by letting the clutch out to bite and letting off brake and adjusting until I get no rollback but the point in which that happens the vehicle stalls. In this situation would it be best to just use the E brake to keep the car from rolling back? This driveway is fairly steep and I don't normally encounter this steep of a hill when driving I was just trying to practice for future encounters. I have been reading several reddit posts already regarding this issue and am a little confused because a lot of people seem to say their clutch will hold a vehicle on a hill with never any issue while they move their foot from the brake to the gas. Any advice would be appreciated!
