local driving only for car use on a sit

I have had good experiences with letting sitters use our car (I ask for a copy of a valid drivers license and have them sign a permissive use document); I clean the car and fill it up with a full tank of gas. We recently had an otherwise excellent sitter who did a great job with our cats and the home, but who put a shocking amount of mileage on the car (3,000 miles in 30ish days). she returned the car clean but was only a half tank of gas. I didn't say anything because I realized that I don't have language in my welcome guide about mileage or only local driving. I guess I assumed that any housesiter would not do this much driving. I am obviously going to address this going forward. What sort of language have you encountered about local driving/mileage as a homeowner or as a sitter? I'm open to any advice. We live in a rural area and I am ok with sitters using my car. I don't think this would be an attractive sit unless it came with a car.
