Something I've realized is how self-sustaining endless scrolling is. It is very clear that it is used as a coping mechanism or escapism. People need a break from how hard life can be. And yet? Social medias will constantly, purposefuly, sprinkle in negativity, fear, anxiety, ragebaits, etc. This causes you to be even more in need of escapism so you scroll more because it's your coping mechanism. It's an endless cycle of content that gives you dopamine then other that fills you with dread and disillusion. It locks you in basically. Cut off all medias for like a month and life is wayyyy less draining without people constantly telling you how bad shit are. And my daily life is not easy at all, yet without all the scrolling a huge weight has been lifted.

I'm currently trying to setup my new rg35xx+ with knulli and simply can't connect to wifi. Apparently the + (2024) just has no wifi or bluetooth. Cool. Is there anyway I can setup my library to have box arts and description anyway? I wouldn't mind fetching the images myself, but apparently you also have to edit the gamelist file for each game and if you do knulli cant update the file anymore for some reason. Is there any sane solution to this or should I just move to another OS? Honestly miss garlicOS so much...

I truly understand how drug/nicotine/gambling addicts feel when trying to quit now. They KNOW it's bad, and there's no reason to do it, etc. But you still do it. I've blocked everything, I'll somehow justify unblocking them. I delete social medias, I'll end up scrolling reddit. I block reddit, I find something else or unblock it one time because I need info on something and then start scrolling it again. I want a dumb phone, and I've had one, but everywhere they fucking require you to use apps. I can't park in my city without an app or I get a parking ticket. It's so tiring. I want out! The irony isn't lost on me that I'm typing this on a social media that consume much of my free hours. I feel trapped beyond my own will yet I know its 100% a personal will issue. Nothing is forcing me to stare at this screen for hours, I can just leave it in my pocket or bag and use it for the tool it is. It seems to me like my brain was completely rewired without my consent to be a slave to this digital parasite. I can't stop relapsing, and can't see a future ahead where tech isn't ever more invading. I'm about to pull an uncle Teddy tbh.
