I’m in Ontario and planning to apply for PR under CEC. My wife is in India, working there, and we’ve been long-distance since I moved.
Wanted to check if anyone has gone through a similar situation (primary applicant in Canada, spouse outside):
And I have a few questions and would really appreciate any insights:
- Spouse docs:
Does the spouse (non-primary applicant) need full reference letters with NOC duties, or are offer letter, experience letter, payslips, ITR/Form 16, and bank statements enough?
- PCC (India):
What’s the easiest/fastest route — Passport Seva Kendra, local police, or BLS?
- Relationship proof (long-distance):
What all did you submit to avoid issues/PFL? (planning photos, chats, call logs, travel history, transfers)
- Any common mistakes to avoid?
Apart from ECA + language test, anything people usually miss?
P.S - We have not contacted any Immigration Consultant yet; although we went through alot of YouTube videos and came up with these questions. If anyone thinks we should go to the immigration consultants, then please let us know. If you know anyone personally who I can meet in Ontario, please feel free to drop the number in my DM.
