Tried to recreate a polastudio battery pack. Found an extended bottom shell on thingyverse and decided to try creating a rechargeable battery pack using a usb-c charging module, 3.7V, 600mAh, 80C, 1S LiPo battery, a DC-DC boost converter to bring the 3.7V up to 6V (yes I configured the potentiometer to allow for 6V output) needed by the camera.

Only issue is, when I connect the battery to the bottom terminals, I either get an infinite run if I hold the shutter button down where the camera cycles but doesn’t quite seem to get to the end of a cycle where the shutter reopens or I get a humming sound from the shutter assembly. These issues go away if I insert a regular 600 cartridge with integrated battery.

Has anyone experienced this before? I take it the humming sound is not a good sign. Does this mean my LiPo battery has too high of a discharge rate? Any help would be much appreciated.

UPDATE: without load output of boost is 6V. Under load it drops to 2.1V. I suspect I need a better boost board.

Also you can find the original thingyverse with .stl file here.
