First battle of the year with my Apple tree
Aphids and caterpillars all over my apple trees when I went out on patrol after the rain yesterday.
Luckily there’s also lots of ladybird larvae eating away so I’ve cleaned a few of the worst leaves and snipped a bit of the dead stuff away and we will see how it gets on in the next week or so!
Not pictured, some woolly aphids which I also cleaned off with some dilute washing up liquid and a toothbrush, again, one to monitor
Any advice for the ongoing health of my trees? They’re only 5 years old or so but do produce about 50 good apples between them
