FORZA HORIZON 6 Compatibility Guide Force Feedback + Telemetry

Open Steam, hover over the Forza Horizon 6 game icon, right‑click, and select “Manage” → “Browse local files.” In the game’s root folder that appears, double‑click to open the “media” folder, then replace the file of the same name with the provided “inputmappingprofiles.zip” — this completes the force feedback configuration for the wheel base.

After updating the drivers to the latest version, proceed to configure the wheel’s data telemetry. Once in the game, go to the main menu, find and click “Settings.” In the Settings menu, select the “HUD and Game” tab, find the “Input/Output” option and turn it on. Then set the Data Output IP address to “127.0.0.1” and the Data Output IP port to “20777.” Once these are set, telemetry configuration is complete.

With game adaptation done, move on to the core setup step — button mapping. Open the game settings interface, click “Controls” → “Change Input Mapping,” then select “Wheel” at the top. Next, bind each function below one by one. A critical note: when binding, be sure to select “Custom Wheel Profile 1,” then turn off the “Combine Throttle/Brake” option and turn on “Combine Steering.” Additionally, all settings highlighted in yellow must be bound — otherwise the game will not run properly.

After finishing basic button mapping, the force feedback settings need adjustment. Go to “Advanced Controls” in the game settings and adjust as shown in the reference image: set “Center Spring Scale” to 0, and lower the “Off‑Road Feel Scale” appropriately. Then, in the “Difficulty” section (again following the image), make sure to set “Steering” to “Simulation” to disable the controller’s built‑in auto‑steering compensation.

Once all the above settings are done, you’re ready to enjoy Forza Horizon 6. Fire up your simulator and start your thrilling journey as a race car driver!
