My printer ripped itself apart
Hey folks, I fucked up.
After switching my filament I ran a few tests and adjusted the temperature and speed, the Benchys looked find. So I started a new print, waited for the first layer and then went out for an hour. Came back to this massacre.
Exhibit A - Blob of Death: It consumed the Hotend and adjacent cables. I can’t dismantle it further. I also had to manually move it upwards to access it at all.
Exhibit B - The Bed: Ripped from its shackles, wheels and springs were catapulted all over the floor. The bed itself was wedged between the hotend and the parts that should hold the bed In place. On restart the printer always says that the temperature is too high and I would have to restart the clipper after fixing the issue.
Do you think this is salvageable? A new printing head would be around 50€, the printer itself (Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro) had cost me 200€ when I bought it. I have had this printer for almost 2 years and it had some issues but never something like this.
Thanks for any opinions!
