Probably stupid but honest question

Yo guys I’m not a big Reddit person but I thought I’d check here. I am a 32 year old hotshot firefighter, college graduate, and former college athlete. I’ve worked in fire for 6 years, am an emt, good leader (people on my squad tell me lol), and have a strong military history in my family (father was a ranger in Vietnam and Grandfather a marine in the pacific). I’ve always had the military and special forces and green berets in mind. I’ve tried to enlist once and wasn’t able to secure a contract due to past use of an SSRI for depression. I’m embarrassed to be ineligible to pursue a dream like this and I really want to know if it’s just not in the cards at this age and with the history of ssri use? I feel like I’m a good candidate and I would kill for a shot at an 18X or Option 40 contract. Will they simply not offer me any spec ops contracts with that in my medical history? Sorry I’m not good at asking questions on here. Thank you
