What do you all think about Middle weights Sportbikes?

So I have 2 CBR 650Rs and I have enjoyed them alot. This bike specifically has been a joy to ride and is capable in all kinds of weather conditions. I find them to be fairly comfortable as far as sportbikes go, at least compared to other sportbikes. I know some middle weights arent as upright as others and some have more power than others but overall this bike does it all fairly well.

The 650 has more power than most in its class so maybe Its just this bike but I can go fast enough to keep me engaged or take it to track and also set up some bags and take her out for a road trip. The only thing I feel like I am missing is the pure speed of a SS but you can't have it all I guess.

Without riding other mid weights I would say that its close to a perfect bike for its class especially with some mods. The only other one I see that can touch it is the RS660 and maybe the R9. All the rest seem to be a bit under powered. Some make up for it with more tech and a little more low end pop on a twin or v3.

How do you guys feel about this middle weight class?

Examples 8R, CBR 650R, R7, R9, Ninja 640, TRIUMPH 660

Used Motorcycle prices, is it just me or do they seem crazy?

So as the title says, am I crazy to feel like a used motorcycle these days are insane?

I have a '24 CBR 650R bought new $12,500 OTD. 2 years later with low mileage 500-3000k miles dealerships are asking almost 10k for the '24. If that asking then you know its almost $11.5-$12k OTD. Only $1,000 less than a brand new model. Why on earth would someone pay almost new money for a used bike when for another $1-2k they cant get the new model with a FULL warranty?

I still see 2017 600s going for 9-10k. It seems crazy.
