Operator Prestige 1 and 2 feels useless
The current progression loop for Operator Prestige in Endgame feels unrewarding and only feels worth it at prestige 3.
Right now, hitting CR66 Prestige 0 and resetting to Prestige 1 gives you absolutely zero instant reward. When you prestige your account rank, you get a Permanent Unlock Token. When you prestige a weapon, you permanently unlock an attachment. But with Operator Prestige, you get nothing upfront.
By the time you finally grind high enough in a Prestige tier to actually utilize its scaling bonuses, you are already nearing the requirement to prestige again, forced to reset all over again to push for Prestige 3 so you can unlock the best build possible: the 4 skill tracks, 2 exotic skills, and nightmare skills. This creates a frustrating loop where the middle grinds feel completely empty and pointless.
The Solution: The "Carryover Token" System
To fix this loop the game should award a Carryover Token upon resetting your Operator level. This token would allow you to permanently keep one single element from your current loadout to carry directly into your next Prestige level.
Players could choose to carry over exactly one of the following:
A Weapon: Keep your current Slot 1 weapon, Slot 2 weapon, or Melee weapon fully intact for the fresh reset. I don’t see this being a big issue since you don’t get the full damage buff until CR 45 so until there you will be more powerful but you shouldn’t be able to just run through glitchs from the get go.
An Elite Skill: Pretty self explanatory, keep 1 unlocked Exotic or Nightmare skill active from level 1.
A Progression Boost: Retain 1 of your standard normal skill tracks so you don't start entirely from scratch. Personally I believe this would just give you the skill track, but no give you it leveled up all the way, making the RNG of the skill track less annoying.
Why This Fixes the Endgame Loop
1 Instant Gratification: It bridges the massive reward gap between Rank/Weapon prestige and Operator prestige.
2 Strategic Choice: Players can build a "bridge loadout" to make the early levels of the next Prestige tier feel distinct and fun, rather than a repetitive chore.
3 Respects Player Time: It makes the grind to Prestige 3 feel like a smooth progression rather than a punishing, repetitive wipe where the bonuses you earn are "worthless" by the time you unlock them.
Implementing a single-item carryover mechanics would entirely change the dynamic of Endgame prestige, shifting it from a tedious chore to an exciting tactical transition.
