Can an H-1B petition still be filed successfully if the worksite changed before filing? I have been working for my employer in Iowa since August 2025 (the only site) but we are now completely moving to a new location in Colorado in June/July 2026. I have been selected for an H1B in April 2026 and was preparing to file a petition and an amendment for a new location now, but now the lawyer handling my application is saying that this would likely result in a denial and that we should switch it to consular processing and try again in the next years lottery with the Colorado location. I am very confused, does anybody have any experience with a situation like this?
