Would 3d printing the remaining train parts be the best option for finishing a custom(s) ?

so i'm making two non transforming figures, based on the UP 4014 Big Boy locomotive, and a smaller figure for the coal car. Would 3D printing the parts for the train aspect for the figure be my best option? Any advice is appreciated.
